The MIDI Janitor is an outsider electronics project conjured up by Jonathan Orr of St. Just Vigilantes and produced by Stephen Ramsay of Young Galaxy.

The character of the MIDI Janitor was imagined as a summer camp janitor in the 80's who secretly made tracks in his supply closet as the kids played capture the flag in the forest. He somehow pre-imagined slurred and spangled tape rave and accidentally invented a Pacific Northwest hauntology all made from his vinyl collection of kosmische, acid folk, new age and library music that he kept amongst his brooms and buckets in the supply closet.

Many years later a single cassette copy of the album Camp Peace was found in a beat up tool kit at a Salvation Army thrift shop. It is an album that tells the tale of one camper's journey through a young night and into an older day.
